Beer Brats & Bluegrass

The Historic Salem Courthouse Community Center hosted its 3rd annual Beer Brats & Bluegrass Fest on Saturday, September 30th, 2017. Over seven different breweries were on hand for an evening of friends, community, and a live bluegrass performance provided by Fiddle Witch. Thank you to all who came out and made this event another success!

 Al Fresco Dinner

For over 15 years, the Alfresco Dinner has been our premier fundraiser and a staple community get-together in Salem. We take pride in producing dinners comprised of locally-sourced foods.

Ghost Hunting

During the Halloween season, follow the South Glens Falls Paranormal Society into the old Washington County Jail, connected to the back of the courthouse, for a public investigation! The events almost always sell out as visitors gear up for their annual ghost hunt.

Kentucky Derby Social

We took the Kentucky Derby on the road! Bob and Carolyn Akland invited all to toast the 143rd ‘Run for the Roses’ with mint juleps, big hats and plenty of Southern style at the Akland Farm for an afternoon of light fare, desserts, wine/beer and mint juleps.

Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair

On Saturday, December 2nd, 2017, the Courthouse hosted this annual event, Local artisans sold their crafts and goods and there were gingerbread cookies being decorated in our kitchen. Be sure to stop by next year and kick off the holiday shopping season.
